4 Self-Care Tips For Anxiety
#1 Take Some Time To Exercise
When you are looking to decrease your anxiety, one of the things you should consider doing is exercise. The reality is that exercise doesn’t only allow you to maintain good physical health as it is also great for your mind. You can even see it as your escape from the world.
From walking to swimming or just running, these are great activities that will allow you not only to feel better as you’re exercising but also afterward.
So, with this in mind, you should try to incorporate an exercise routine into your busy schedule. We know that it is difficult, but you have to try it.
#2 Limit Your Caffeine Intake
One of the factors that tend to contribute a lot to anxiety is caffeine intake. If you’re an avid coffee drinker, this may be a problem for you. But we’re not telling you to cut all the caffeine out of your life. We’re only saying that you should limit it.
Let’s say that you need a good cup of coffee to wake up in the morning. That’s fine. You can continue to drink it. But if you keep drinking coffee after coffee during the entire day, then this may be a problem when you are trying to control your anxiety. You can limit the number of cups that you take per day, for example.
#3 Take care Of Your Sleep
Most people don’t have a good night’s sleep. Some have problems to fall asleep, others keep waking up during the night. Notice that this may be due to many different things. However, generally speaking, some of the factors that usually lead to a bad night’s sleep include a lack of bedtime routines, too much caffeine during the day, and keep thinking about the current problems and issues.
So, since we already talked about your caffeine intake, you should also try to implement a bedtime routine where you need to go to bed around the same hour every single night. You should also make sure that you sleep between 7 to 8 hours a day and that you avoid getting up when you wake up during the night.
There’s no question that a good night’s sleep on a consistent basis can help you with your anxiety. And it is all under your control.

“Breathe. Breathe deep and pure and smooth. Concentrate on it. Breathing is the pace you set your life at. It’s the rhythm of the song of you. It’s how to get back to the centre of things. The centre of yourself. When the world wants to take you in every other direction. – Matt Haig, Notes on a Nervous Planet –
