Liver Overlay Post-Cleanse Care
Liver Overlay Program Post Cleanse Information Sheet
Some guidelines to help you understand more about taking care of your liver in a more gentle way as part of your regular everyday self-care program.
Avoid:
- Heavily fried foods especially deep-fried where the oil has been heated multiple times
- Processed foods which are loaded in preservatives and additives
- Meats and fish which are farmed intensively
- Refined sugar/ high fructose
- GMO foods
- Trans fats such as margarine or hydrogenated oils, or oils from canola, corn, vegetable, soybean, grapeseed, safflower, peanut
- Tap water or even water in plastic bottles
- Chemical personal products ( deodorants, body lotions, shampoo etc) and chemical cleaning products ( laundry soap, bleaches, air fresheners etc)
- consumption of alcohol ( over 1 glass a day) and sodas
Incorporate
- Plenty of green leafy vegetables and cabbage family vegetables in your diet
- Beets, artichokes, garlic, berries, grapes, grapefruits, apples, avocados, limes and lemons
- Raw nuts and seeds
- Green tea
- Omega 3s ( fatty wild-caught fish )
- High quality cold-pressed oils such as olive, flax, hemp, coconut, ghee, walnut, avocado oils etc
- Take a soluble form of fiber such as psyllium/ chia seeds regularly and ideally with liquid probiotics as this makes a complete pre & probiotic combination ideal for positive gut bacteria. This will also make sure the bowels are absorbing the toxins released in the bile and that you are eliminating the toxins and not recycling them into the body. This happens if you are constipated – ie not going to the toilet 1st thing in the morning and preferably more frequently.
- If you do go off your clean diet you can remedy it by taking strong digestive support like ginger powder with ACV
- Bamboo Charcoal mops up toxins that the liver has to process so should be taken regularly if you live in a polluted city or take when you drink or smoke or eat processed foods laced with additives and preservatives.
Keeping a clean diet and supplementing with herbs etc will keep your liver healthy and you will start to notice huge changes in your wellbeing. There is a general rule which says give yourself a month of treatments for every year you have had an issue. So if you have been drinking and eating bad oils for example for 10 years, then do at least 10 months of these supplements to bring yourself back into balance.
