Parasite Overlay Post-Cleanse Care
Parasite Overlay Program Post Cleanse Information Sheet
You have made a strong start at cleansing out the presence of parasites with our intensive Parasite Cleanse Program. Depending upon how developed the infestation is, you will want to follow a fairly strict Post Cleanse Program to completely rid them from your body. All the guidelines on our General Post Cleanse Brochure apply, and in addition to this, we recommend that you follow this Parasite Cleanse specific suggestions.
You will be, in essence, continuing with the approach you started with us during your Sanctuary Parasite Cleanse – an effective three-fold approach of not feeding them, reducing their presence and creating a healthy gut bacteria which is an unfriendly home for parasites. This is a program that you can maintain in your everyday life by having a careful diet, using herbs to attack the issue and good digestive habits, probiotics and fiber to keep the intestines healthy.
We suggest you follow all three aspects, as following only one aspect of this program will lead to slower and inferior results.
Not Feeding the Parasite
We suggest to follow the general advice of the Post Cleanse Brochure for the first few days and to continue to avoid the following in order to not feed them. Parasites can feed off sugars and sometimes meat, so know that when you are having sugar or meat cravings, it may well be the parasites asking to be fed, so it may be helpful to understand that you have the choice to feed it or starve it out of your body for a period of time till it is gone.
- All processed sugars including agave, maple syrup and coconut sugar (a little raw honey is ok)
- All processed carbohydrates such as pasta and bread and pastries (as they are basically sugars)
- Sodas and alcohol as they are loaded in sugars
- Fruit juices and sweet fruits such as mango, peaches, coconut water & sweet apples, sour fruits are fine, and occasional sub acidic fruits such as papaya are ok
- All processed foods in general as they often contain hidden sugars as well as preservatives which destroy the positive intestinal bacteria.
- Meats, particularly pork and raw fish as some parasites are meat worms
- Dairy in general, although a little strong cheese such as parmesan and blue cheeses are ok in moderation. Ghee is also considered suitable
This doesn’t have to be too difficult, but it will require willpower on your part. Look at our post-cleanse brochure for ideas of how you can enjoy this time of self-care. There are plenty of foods and meals you can have. All types of vegetables raw and cooked, whole grains, only sour fruits, clean proteins (such as tempeh, free-range organic eggs, hemp and pea protein powders, seeds & nuts).
Ridding the Parasites
Herbs are the main tool used in the ‘Attack’ aspect of the program as they are powerful enough to kill them off. Just like we gave you in the Parasite Cleanse, we suggest you use Oregano Oil in either capsule or diluted essential oil GSE (Grapefruit Seed Extract), Turmeric, Diatomaceous earth, Phyllanthus Tea, Zappe.
For parasites we suggest a cycle of 10 days of herbs with a break of 3-5 days then returning to the herbs again for three cycles of 10-day treatments, making a full cycle of around 6 weeks. Keep with the clean diet the whole way through as much as possible
Rebalancing your intestinal microbiome
Establishing a healthy environment for your intestines will keep parasites in check and prevent them from returning. This is essential for general preventative health and particularly important when dealing with parasites. Follow our regular guidelines on the general Post Cleanse Brochure, in particular…
- Take a soluble form of fiber such as psyllium/chia seeds regularly and ideally with liquid probiotics as this makes a complete pre & probiotic combination ideal for positive gut bacteria
- Take probiotics in all forms – as suggested above, psyllium & with liquid probiotics, probiotic capsules, fermented vegetables such as kimchi & sauerkraut, and kefir & kombucha
- Eat a balanced diet with lots of vegetables, whole foods and observing the clean eating guidelines in our general brochure
- Ensure that you are eliminating regularly first thing in the morning every day. If this is not the case, you may be creating the environment parasites love to thrive in, so use Herbs such as Triphala (available in health stores or online) to keep things moving
- Make sure you are digesting well as the improperly digested foods will create an environment parasites and other bad bacteria will thrive in.
How long to continue with the self-care Parasite program?
We suggest following these guidelines for at least the 6 weeks cycle of 10 days with a break repeated three times as outlined above, however, this process may take months or more depending on the intensity of your condition. We encourage you to give yourself as long as you need to be clear of this condition as its impact on your overall health can have long term consequences if not handled carefully.
We recommend checking your progress by looking at your tongue before and after tongue-scraping and observing how the spots on your tongue are decreasing and perhaps even actually disappearing. Not all types of parasites are indicated by these spots on the tongue so continue the protocol for the full cycle to be sure. If you step off the regime for a while, you may notice digestive issues occurring such as cramping and perhaps diarrhea, alternating with constipation and sugar cravings getting stronger. This is a sign that you have not yet cleared the condition, so pick it up & continue with it again.
